In middle school Heidi Hatcher had the opportunity to take a small class on black and white film photography. That was enough to get her hooked on photography for life.

Hatcher Photography began in 2004 with Heidi selling prints of her digital images at local craft fairs during her undergraduate career in Biology at Appalachian State University. From there, Hatcher Photography grew as Heidi began expanding her customer base and placing in local photography competitions. She showcased her work in several art galleries in and around Boone, NC and some of her photos are still on display at Caravan Botanicals on King Street.

In 2010 Heidi moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where earned a Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. There's no end to the adventure and beauty that Alaska has to offer, so Hatcher Photography has an ever-growing portfolio of professional images. Living in the far North inspired Heidi to expand Hatcher Photography to the world wide web in order to share her artistic creations with a broader audience.
